September Child Tax Credit Date
September’s advanced child tax credit payment is coming shortly. After the child tax credit update, the Internal Revenue Service announced that taxpayers that are eligible for the credit would receive advanced payments.
The advanced payment is distributed over six month period in the second half of the tax year. So, as a taxpayer that qualifies for the child tax credit, you’ll receive an advanced payment in July, August, September, October, November, and December.
Although the first payment was a bit earlier than expected, for every month of the year, the payment date is going to be the same. You’ll receive the advanced payment on the 15th day of the month. September’s advanced child tax credit payment is on the 15th.
When will I receive the September CTC payment?
The IRS will deposit the next advanced child tax credit payment on September 15, which the funds should appear in your bank account in a few days at max. In most cases, the funds will be deposited into your bank account right after the IRS sends them or in a few hours – depending on the bank.
It’s also good to keep in mind that the funds sent will have a designated transaction code that starts with IRS Treas 310 and is followed by an additional code that shows the reason for the payment as well as the date it was deposited. The transaction code can help you understand what the payment was for so you know it’s your advanced child tax credit payment, not something else.
