If you’ve already missed the deadlines, there is nothing you can do but to submit a FAFSA for the 2024 - 2025 academic year. For the 2024 - 2025 academic year, you can submit your application as soon as October 1st, 2023. At the time of writing, there is still time for this but you need to hurry up to prepare your FAFSA.
When to submit FAFSA?
FAFSA has multiple deadlines. Even though the federal FAFSA deadline gives too much time for a student to apply for student aid, the state and college deadlines must be kept in mind.
As early as it is—the college priority deadlines are the earliest deadline. You should see the individual deadline for the college you’re attending. Having all this said, the earlier you submit your FAFSA, the better.
In addition to federal student aid, you can apply for a state scholarship or grant. Every state has at least one grant or scholarship program for students. However, if you’re attending an out of state school, your chances of qualifying for these grants and scholarships is slim to none. It depends on the scholarship program in these cases, so, it’s best to check the details of the grant or the scholarship.
